Navigating through Koboh in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor presents players with environmental challenges that test both mobility and problem-solving skills. The Devastated Settlement stands out as a key story region requiring players to manipulate laser couplers and thermal vents to progress. Understanding the mechanics behind these orb puzzles is essential for advancing Cal Kestis's journey.

Unlocking the First Thermal Vent

Upon arriving at the Devastated Settlement meditation point, players must clear initial enemy encounters and reach the higher platform. Locate the first orb beam blocked by environmental debris and use Force Pull to free the energy stream. Once the beam is active, align it with the opposite cliffside to clear the Koboh matter and unlock the first thermal vent.

Gliding across the newly opened air draft using a Relter brings players to the next secluded cliff face. Defeat the hostile creatures guarding the entrance before heading inside to locate the next puzzle components. This initial step establishes the core loop of redirecting laser beams to clear blocked pathways.

Navigating the Second Coupler and Block Puzzle

Inside the second cave section, players encounter a heavy stone block alongside a sliding door mechanism. Force Pull the block away from the wall and position it directly beneath the doorframe to keep the passage open. Step through to collect the orb and return it to the central room's coupler.

To clear the remaining corruption, place the stone block in front of the laser beam to create a temporary bridge for BD-1's Koboh Grinder. Igniting a continuous trail of matter from the laser contact point to the growth will melt the blockage instantly. Retrieve the orb and place it into the exterior coupler to activate the second updraft.

Reaching the Grand Courtyard

With two vents activated, use the gliders to maneuver toward the highest plateau in the spires. This elevated location houses the Grand Courtyard meditation point along with the final laser transmitter. Adjusting this beam opens up access to deep cavernous chambers and additional hidden rewards.

Direct the third beam down toward the central canyon floor to clear the final corrupted barrier. Clearing this path grants access to essential collectibles and unlocks the remaining navigation routes across Koboh. Players can now seamlessly complete the main objective while exploring every hidden corner of the region.

Tips for Solving Chambers and Finding Collectibles

Completing the primary vent puzzle also opens access to secret Jedi Meditation Chambers hidden along the canyon walls. By directing laser beams directly at cave entrances from across the valley, players can use BD-1 to burn away dense vines. These optional chambers reward valuable perks, datadisc collectibles, and unique customization options.

If map indicators show unexplored paths after completing the puzzle, re-examine high ledges accessible only by Relter flight. Ensuring all three couplers are properly aligned allows for fast travel and smooth exploration during late-game cleanup. Master these laser mechanics to easily overcome one of Jedi: Survivor's most elaborate environmental obstacles.
